Los Wixaritari se establecieron en la sierra donde el aire fresco y clima templado predominan, la vista panorámica de montañas llenas de vida te invita a sentarte y contemplar la naturaleza. Las comunidades y rancherías se establecen cerca de ríos y ojos de agua para abastecerse. Las mujeres se levantan antes del amanecer para moler maíz y calentar el comal para hacer el desayuno, no hay algo mejor que salsa y tortillas recién hechas para obtener energía y empezar bien el día. Los hombres se van a trabajar, las mujeres hacen sus tareas domésticas y cuando tienen oportunidad hacen arte al aire libre.

The Wixaritari people established in the highlands where fresh air and temperate climate prevails. The panoramic view of mountains filled with life, invites you to pause and contemplate nature. Communities and ranches established near rivers and waterholes to supply themselves. The women rise before dawn to grind corn and heat earthenware flat pans to make breakfast. Principalmente las mujeres son las que usan su vestimenta tradicional diariamente, los hombres por lo generalmente la usan para ceremonias o eventos importantes. Los hombres usan un traje de algodón bordado por alguna mujer, normalmente por su madre o su esposa, se dice que entre más bordado tenga, más afecto tiene sobre él.

La cultura Wixárika es de las pocas que sigue manteniendo sus tradiciones, idioma, vestimentas y leyendas que han sido pasadas de generación en generación por cientos de años.
