STORY
HISTORIA
Mexican Coolture dió inicio en 2012 principalmente por la responsabilidad social, después de convivir con personas de la cultura Wixárika, conocer más a fondo su estilo de vida, asistir a ceremonias y vivir en carne propia sus tradiciones, André Montfort el creador de Mexican Coolture empieza sembrando la idea cuando después las hermanas Lucianne y Rosanna se incorporan como co-fundadoras desarrollando y dando inicio a la empresa, haciendo florecer la semilla del comienzo.

Mexican Coolture began in 2012 mainly for social responsibility. The creator André Montfort lived with natives from the "Wixárika" community. While living with natives from the "Wixárika" community he got to attended ceremonies, learned about their traditions, and their everyday life's. After his experience, André Montfort had an idea, he knew a changed need to happen. Later, sisters Lucianne and Rosanna Co-founders join the cause and started developing the company.
"I had a breathtaking experience with the community of Wixarika; I lived their traditions, tried their food, met wonderful people, and learned numerous things that made me more conscience of their culture.
When I returned to my hometown, I started reflecting on how I could help their community and spread their culture across the world, so people can appreciate this group of people and learn from them the way I did." -André Montfort

Son tres hermanos originarios de Tijuana, Baja California. André Montfort es el creador de Mexican Coolture, Lucianne es la diseñadora de la marca y Rosanna es relacionista pública. Juntos han decidido buscar, difundir y enseñar a todo el mundo las creaciones de maravillosas personas de diferentes culturas autóctonas de México y sobretodo valorar su trabajo. Por esa razón empezaron esta nueva aventura.

Originated from Tijuana, Mexico, they are three siblings that have united in order to explore, spread, and teach other people about the wonderful creations that the different native cultures around Mexico have to offer. The creator of Mexican Coolture is André Montfort, in order the co-founders sisters Lucianne as designer and Rosanna as PR. They also strive to increase the value of their hard work. Mexican Coolture se preocupa por comprar arte lo más justo posible, a parte de dar trabajo a diferentes grupos étnicos, se fomenta el comercio justo valorando el trabajo de cada artesano pagando pieza por pieza sin pagos por mayoreo, los artesanos fijan el precio de cada pieza de arte según sus medidas, tamaños y tiempos de elaboración.

Mexican Coolture focus on buying their art in the fairest way possible. Besides giving work to different ethnic groups, promote fair trade valuing the work of each artisan paying piece by piece without payments for wholesale, artisans set the price of each piece of art according to their measurements, sizes and processing times.

Mexican Coolture es una empresa de jóvenes honestos, responsables e íntegros que buscan de todo corazón que la cultura y el talento de México sea valorado y reconocido en el mundo.
Buscan promover y difundir las diferentes etnias nativas de México para mejorar el mundo a través de las enseñanzas de las culturas ancestrales, concientizar a las personas para que valoren el arte y que los mismos artesanos eviten devaluar su trabajo.

Mexican Coolture is company of honest, responsible, young adults, seeking with all their hearts for Mexican art, talent and culture to be valued and recognized all over the world.
Seeking to promote and spread the different native ethnic groups in Mexico. Making the world a better place, by teaching about ancient cultures of their own country. People will start to value Mexican art all over the world. This will cause the same craftsmen to stop devaluing their own work and start appreciating it, avoiding bargaining.

Detrás de cada pieza de Mexican Coolture está el resultado de la evolución que se ha vivido desde que empezó, los incontables kilómetros recorridos para conocer y visitar a artistas de diferentes comunidades de México, el proceso de creación de diseño del arte que les toma mucho tiempo por el cuidado, el detalle y el esfuerzo en cada combinación de colores, formas y patrones para cada modelo que se ha desarrollado, los pequeños talleres que dan su máximo para que cada pieza quede lo mejor posible, los herreros que nos sorprenden con la cantidad de procesos que les toma el hacer cada pieza, en sí, hay un sin número de personas que dan lo mejor de sí mismos para que puedas disfrutar lo mejor del arte de México en una pieza única.

Behind every piece of Mexican Coolture is a wonderful experiences of evolution that has occurred since the beginning. Traveling countless kilometers to meet and visit the artists from different communities of Mexico. Learning about the process of creating art. All the details and effort it takes in every combination of color, shape and pattern. In small workshop, blacksmiths put their maximum effort creating each piece to its perfection. A great amount of people work day to day giving their best, perfecting each art piece making it a unique piece with the best of art of Mexico.
